Therapy for Pregnancy, Postpartum & Fertility
The perinatal period and the journey through fertility challenges can bring profound emotional shifts, changes in who you feel you are, and a lot of uncertainty. Many people experience grief, anxiety, self-blame, or feeling disconnected during this time, even when they look like they're managing on the outside. Society often expects you to have this 'perfect' experience, which only makes what you’re going through harder to talk about. If you feel like you're performing 'okay' while struggling on the inside, you are exactly who I work with. This is a space for the real, messy, and complicated parts of your journey, free from judgment or the pressure to 'just get over it.'
I offer online therapy to adults navigating perinatal and fertility concerns with an approach that's emotionally attuned, reflective, and grounded in real psychological understanding.
Emotional Experiences During Perinatal and Fertility Transitions
You might be dealing with things like:
Pregnancy anxiety or mood changes during pregnancy or postpartum
The stress of infertility or going through fertility treatments
Grief after pregnancy loss or when things don't go as you had hoped
Shifts in your identity, your relationships, or how you see yourself
Postpartum depression
Birth trauma
These experiences are deeply personal and often complicated by what your culture, relationships, or society expects of you.
My approach to perinatal therapy
“Why am I feeling consumed by anxiety or sinking into a heavy sadness when I’m ‘supposed’ to be happy? Why is becoming a parent suddenly bringing up so much from my own childhood? How do I navigate these shifting family dynamics and set boundaries without feeling overwhelmed by guilt?”
The transition into pregnancy and parenthood is one of the most profound identity shifts a person can experience, yet we are often expected to navigate it flawlessly. When you work with me, we drop that expectation immediately. I don't expect you to have it all figured out, and I will never pressure you to just "move on" or act like this isn't as hard as it is.
My role is to be a steady, compassionate anchor for you during this time. We will work completely at your pace, unraveling the anxiety or depression that is exhausting you. Together, we will gently look at the childhood memories surfacing for you right now, and figure out how to confidently navigate the complex new family relationships and expectations you are facing. We will build a soft landing place where you can honor your own needs, ease the internal pressure, and step into parenthood feeling grounded, present, and true to yourself.
